Is it possible for a cougar to have tiger blood?
2008 Lakeville South graduate Shannah Henderson hopes so.
The 20-year-old has made it on to the third round of competition to be Charlie Sheen’s social media "#TigerBlood" intern. The field has now been narrowed down from somewhere in the neighborhood of 75,000 plus applicants to around 250.
The self-proclaimed Sheeniac says she stumbled upon the opportunity while looking for an internships online. Henderson, who is currently a junior at the University of Minnesota, was looking for a public relations internship this summer when she came across Sheen’s ad. At first she said she wasn’t sure it was real, but decided to give it a shot.
The first challenge in the interview process was to tweet in 75 characters or less why she would make a good intern. After promising to keep the Sheeniacs salivating for the next controversy she moved on to the next round.
The second round required her to submit a resume and application online. For the current round Henderson and the other finalists were asked to create a video under two minutes that answered one of three social media questions.
Henderson chose to answer a question about what she thinks is the best company using of social media today and why. She chose Minnesota’s own Mayo Clinic, a company she had done a case study on in class.
Henderson expects to find out later this week if she is still #winning in Sheen’s eyes.
The details of the eight week internship, including how much it pays, have still not been made clear.

ReplyDeleteYes I couldn't believe it when I read it in the paper. Embarrassed. I'm from Chicago but seeing as that's a stop on Douchie Disgusto's tour I really cant throw stones at my adopted state of Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Douchie Disgusto! The whole thing makes my skin crawl. Sad
