Fuller: 'Friday The 13th sequel is ready'

Producer Brad Fuller has revealed that a sequel to Friday The 13th has been written.

Fuller, who also produced The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and A Nightmare on Elm Street, tweeted that another sequel to the popular slasher series is on the way.

"I want to set the record straight on Freddy and Jason... First, let's talk Jason. [Damian] Shannon and [Mark] Swift wrote a great script. We are ready to go, when New Line is ready. But as of yet, they are not ready," Fuller wrote.

Fuller stated last year that a sequel was not a possibility. "It is dead - not happening," he said.

However, it now appears as though studio commitment is all that is needed before the sequel can get under way.

On a possible follow-up to last year's A Nightmare On Elm Street reboot, Fuller was less optimistic, adding: "As for Freddy, as far as I know, there isn't even talk of writing another script."

The only thing I clearly remember from the movie was being awed at the dope field in the beginning. I was so into wishful thinking that I sort of forgot I was watching a horror movie. So my scream was epic and my throat took days to recover. I'm pretty sure I went into shock or something because the rest of the movie's a blank, I barely remember Jared at all.
